Professor Baldur Thorhallsson is the Project leader and will together with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Ásthildur Elva Bernharðsdóttir, have primary responsibility of the academic coordination of the project and lead the work in data gathering and analysis in Iceland. Dr. Baldur Thorhallsson is Professor of Political Science, Jean Monnet Chair in European Studies at the Faculty of Political Science and Research Director of the Centre for Small State Studies at the University of Iceland. Professor Thorhallsson has extensive expertise in the field of small state studies, European integration, and security and defence and has valuable experience in running a international research projects for a number of years.
