Maria Ackrén is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the Institute of Social Science, Economics & Journalism at Ilisimatusarfik University of Greenland. She leads the work on data gathering and research in Greenland. Her research focuses on autonomous areas in the world with a special focus on the Nordic autonomous territories: Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Åland.
