Fredrik Bynander is the Acting Director General for Crisis Management at the Swedish Government. He is former Director of the Centre for Societal Security, Chairman of the board of the Center of Natural Hazards and Disaster Science (CNDS) and Associate Professor at the Swedish Defence University. During the COVID-19 pandemic he acted as senior advisor at the Ministry of Justice. Bynander research focuses on crisis management studies, collaborative crisis management and leadership succession.
