This report summarizes the key discussions and findings from the first of four workshops organized under a collaborative initiative by the University of Iceland, the University of Akureyri, the Icelandic Arctic Cooperation Network, and Rannís. The focus of this workshop was adaptation to climate change in Iceland, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and experts to identify knowledge gaps, research capacities, and opportunities for collaboration. The document highlights the main outcomes, challenges, and potential next steps to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation, improve data accessibility, and support evidence-based actions addressing the unique challenges of the Arctic region.
