Sara Olsvig, PhD, is an Inuk leader from Kalaallit Nunaat, Greenland, and former Chair of the Inuit Circumpolar Council (2022–2026). Sara Olsvig is a strong advocate for Indigenous and human rights, she has extensive experience in politics, leadership, academia and international advocacy. She has served in the parliaments of Denmark and Kalaallit Nunaat, and as Vice Premier and Minister for Social Affairs, Families, Gender Equality and Justice. She holds a PhD in Arctic Studies from Ilisimatusarfik – the University of Greenland, and an MSc in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen.
