Sharon K. Weiner is associate professor of International Relations at American University’s School of International Service and a visiting researcher with Princeton’s Program on Science and Global Security.  Her current research focuses on the theory, practice, and social construction of deterrence and the politics of U.S. nuclear weapon modernization.  She has worked on nuclear weapons-related issues for both houses of Congress, the White House, and the Joint Staff.
