Nataša Pirc Musar is the President of the Republic of Slovenia. Born in Ljubljana in 1968, she studied law at the University of Ljubljana and later earned a PhD in law from the University of Vienna. She began her career as a journalist and television news presenter before becoming Slovenia’s Information Commissioner, where she worked on access to public information and personal data protection. She later worked as a lawyer. In 2022, she was elected President of Slovenia, becoming the country’s first female president. She took office on 23 December 2022.
