Prof. Dr. Carlo Masala is Chair for Security and Defence Studies at Bundeswehr University Munich. He directs the Center for Intelligence and Security Studies, the Metis Institute for Strategy and Foresight, and the Center for Crisis Early Warning. He previously worked at the NATO Defense College in Rome. Professor Masala is the author of several books on international politics, security and geopolitics, and has received multiple awards for his academic work and science communication.
