Isabel Bramsen is Director of Peace and Conflict Studies and Associate Professor at Lund University. Her research uses a micro-sociological perspective to study diplomacy, peace processes, dialogue, nonviolent resistance, and violence across the Middle East, Europe, South America, and Asia.

She is the author of Fredens logik – i verden og hverdagen (2025) and The Micro-Sociology of Peace and Conflict (Cambridge University Press). Bramsen is a member of Nordic Women Mediators and a mediator at the Centre for Conflict Resolution, focusing on how peace is created through dialogue, diplomacy, and nonviolent conflict transformation.
