On March 7th, 2023 the researchers contributing to the project Crisis Management and the COVID-19 Pandemic: Leadership, Expertise and Best Practices gathered for a workshop at the Institute of International Affairs in Reykjavík to set the agenda for the next three years.

In addition the team established a research framework and determined analytic themes. A wide range of topics were discussed and the day concluded with a visit to the Icelandic Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management hosted by Víðir Reynisson, Department manager and National commissioner of Police, followed by a toast to a successful workshop.
