The Nordic Countries, the Most Sustainable Region of the World?

Open Seminar October 24,  from 13:15 – 15:15 at the National Museum of Iceland. Hosted by the United Nations Association in Iceland, Festa and the Institute of International Affairs at the University of Iceland.

The Nordic Countries have declared that their region will be the most sustainable region in 2030. What does that entail and what needs to happen in order to achieve these goals? What is the roal of the private sector? We will aim to answer these questions on United Nations Day on 24 October. The event will be split into two sessions, the first session focuses on the Nordic Countries and will be held in English, the second one focuses on the actions of Icelandic businesses and will be held in Icelandic.

Speakers include: Hakan Juholt, Ambassador of Sweden; Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir, Director of Festa; Rannveig Rist, CEO of Ísál and Kjartan Gíslason, owner of Omnom Chocolate
