This conference will deal with the security and security issues of small states. Particular attention will be given to the challenges and policies of small states in NATO, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Oceania. Participants come from 15 countries in 4 continents. Among the topics covered will be security in the north, security of the Nordic and Baltic states, energy security and safety at sea.
The conference is part of, SSANSE, a three-year robbery project led by the Research Center for Small States at the University of Iceland, sponsored by NATO. Further information on the project can be found on its website .
