Ríkisfang: Ekkert – Lecture: Is it possible to negotiate peace in Palestine? Wednesday, 21st September

To celebrate the newly published book, Ríkisfang: Ekkert, by Sigrídur Vídis Jónsdóttir, the Institute of International Affairs and the publisher Forlagid will host a series of lectures on refugees and the situation in the Middle East.

On Wednesday, 21st September, a lecture entitled “Is it possible to negotiate peace in Palestine?” was held in Oddi 101 from 12:25 to 13:25, moderated by Bogi Ágústsson, reporter and broadcaster with the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service.
Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir, former Minister of foreign affairs, discussed whether it is possible to negotiate peace in Palestine, and whether any changes have occured in the process.

After the lecture, Ríkisfang: Ekkert was made available for sale in the University’s Bookstore and the author, Sigrídur Vídis Jónsdóttir, signed her book, along with the main characters of Ríkisfang: Ekkert, the refugee women living in Akranes.
